CS Mixer 2026

← All events

We kicked things off with our first CS Mixer of the year, and it went better than we could have hoped.

More than 80 students joined us, along with nine professors from the department. We also invited the other tech-related clubs on campus, and every single one of them showed up. A big thank you to each of them, and to our professors, for making time and helping make the evening what it was.

The mixer had a simple purpose: bring the CS community together at the start of the year. For first-years, it was a chance to meet people in the department, find their footing, and see that there’s a community waiting for them. For seniors, it was an opportunity to reconnect, meet the new batch, and spend some time with faculty outside the classroom. And for our professors, it was a chance to meet the incoming students before the semester got too busy.

The room was full of conversations about courses, research, projects, clubs, and everything in between. Watching first-years chatting comfortably with professors and seniors by the end of the night was exactly what we were hoping for. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin the year.
